Kenrick Ice McDonald world renown Magician purchased my coat in the eighties. I still remember getting a phone call from Dynamite Boutique asking if I could make a coat in purple with some very specific measurements. It was my first taste in the hard core specifics that a magician demands in their garments. I had not met Ice McDonald but I remember seeing his picture on the wall of the clothing store shortly after I delivered his coat to the store. Years and years later I stumbled upon a the cover of The Linking Ring, M.U.M. and Preview. All of which featured the imposing Ice McDonald decked out in purple denim.
I sent him an email and was fortunate to be invited to attend his show at the Magic Castle. It was such a treat. If you ever get the chance to see him go.

The faux vest has the slightest of glimmer that goes perfectly with the glittering silver safety pins in this punk rock inspired tail coat. The many zippers in the back make this a versatile garment that can have several looks to it. There are hidden zippered pockets in the sleeve as well as in your face zippered pockets adhered to the sides of the coat by a slathering of safety pins.
