I found out about Ronnie Macks Barndance back in 1991 when it was at the Palomino nightclub in North Hollywood. Every Tuesday night my friends and I were there, come hell or high water. We danced, we drank, we made out in the parking lot and we got mugged in the parking lot. It was The Country Western place to be. It was gritty, romantic, wonderful and real.
The rich history of this legendary club ended when it closed its doors in 1995.

Ronnie’s Mack’s show moved on and this Jan. 15th 08 marked the BarnDance’s twentieth anniversary. We were all there to celebrate. One of the many fine musicians that performed that night was Rosie Flores. She sang her heartfelt tribute to Ronnie and the early days of the Palomino.
I found a version here on youtube.
